Privacy notice

This notice explains how Ten Thousand Solutions (“10k Solutions”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through this website, including the enquiry form on our homepage. It is written to meet the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.

Who is responsible for your data

Ten Thousand Solutions is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For any question about this notice or your personal data, contact us at jb@10ks.ae.

What we collect

  • When you send us an enquiry: your email address, your name if you choose to give it, the content of your message, and which suggested question (if any) you started from.
  • To protect the form from spam: your browser completes a short automated check, and our server uses your IP address to limit repeated submissions. The IP address is converted into a one-way code and kept for no more than one hour. It is not stored with your enquiry.
  • Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information about requests to the site, such as IP address, browser type, date and time, and the page requested. This is used to keep the site secure and working.

Please do not include sensitive personal data (for example, health information) in your message.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss how we might work together. We rely on this being necessary to take steps you have asked for before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. Where consent is required under UAE law, you give it by sending the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
  • To keep the website and form secure. We rely on our legitimate interest in protecting our website and preventing misuse.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cookies are set only for site administrators who sign in to manage the website.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry is stored on our website and sent to our business email. It is handled by our website hosting and email service providers, who act on our instructions and keep it secure. We share personal data with others only where the law requires us to.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside the country in which you are located. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, or outside the UK or European Economic Area, we take the steps required by applicable law to ensure it remains adequately protected.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and to manage any working relationship that follows, and then delete them. Spam-protection codes are deleted within one hour.

How we protect it

The website is served over an encrypted connection, enquiries are stored in an area accessible only to authorised administrators, and access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy of it;
  • correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your personal data;
  • restrict or stop our use of your personal data, or object to it;
  • provide your personal data in a portable format;
  • withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting processing that took place before.

To make a request, email jb@10ks.ae. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within the time required by law.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the relevant authority: in the UAE, the UAE Data Office; in the EU or UK, the data protection authority where you live or work.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
